Job description

Position Overview

The Assistant Show Producer will play an integral role in the execution of LOL Asia’s live events, working closely with production, technical teams, and venue partners to ensure seamless show delivery. This role requires strong attention to detail, a good technical foundation, and excellent coordination skills to support the senior producer in managing all stage-related elements. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of floor plans, tech riders, sound and lighting setups, and venue logistics. They must also possess strong communication skills to foster productive relationships with crew, vendors, and venue personnel.

Key Responsibilities,

  • Technical & Floor Plan Coordination
  • Understand and interpret event floor plans, ensuring that stage and audience layouts are accurately translated during show setup.
  • Assist in compiling and reviewing tech riders from artists and production teams to align technical needs with venue capabilities.
  • Support in overseeing load-in, soundcheck, and rehearsals, ensuring each segment runs according to plan and within allocated time.
  • Venue Scouting & Coordination
  • Conduct venue research for upcoming concerts, showcases, and special events, assessing each location’s technical specs, capacity, logistics, and fit for show needs.
  • Prepare venue comparison reports to support decision-making on costs, audience experience, and technical feasibility.
  • Liaise with venue managers and booking agents for site visits, walkthroughs, and negotiations.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with venue managers, riggers, stagehands, and A/V technicians to resolve any on-site issues efficiently.
  • Technical & Staging Knowledge
  • Possess a basic understanding of sound systems, lighting setups, staging, rigging, and video operations to communicate effectively with technical crews.
  • Support the Show Producer in maintaining quality and consistency across multiple shows in different venues.
  • On-Ground Show Execution
  • Take charge of managing on-ground execution during tech runs, rehearsals, and show day operations under the direction of the Show Producer.
  • Ensure all stage cues, artist movements, and technical transitions are executed with precision and according to the show rundown.
  • Proactively resolve any technical or logistical issues in real time, ensuring minimal disruption to show flow.
  • Lead cue-to-cue rehearsals, ensuring timing, blocking, and transitions are show-ready before doors open.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in live events, concerts, festivals, or theatre production.
  • Strong understanding of event floor plans, venue logistics, and backstage operations.
  • Basic knowledge of technical systems including soundboards, lighting rigs, LED walls, and staging equipment.
  • Comfortable liaising with both technical and creative teams.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle multiple moving parts in a live environment.
  • A passion for entertainment and a keen eye for production quality.

  • Technical Execution: 100% adherence to show run schedules and production cues.
  • Readiness: All tech riders reviewed and confirmed before the show.
  • Venue Liaison: 90% positive feedback from venue/technical teams post-show.
  • On-Site Support: Zero critical issues during soundcheck and show time under assistant supervision.
  • Documentation: All show reports, tech checklists, and post-show notes submitted within 48 hours of the event.

Employment Terms- Salary

  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience and industry benchmarks.
  • Contract Term: Full-time, with an initial term of one year. Renewable based on performance.
  • Travel: Required for rehearsals, venue site visits, and multi-city show support.
