Job summary
A leading environmental services company in Kulim, Kedah is seeking a professional for supply chain management. The role involves negotiating with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating logistics, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates should have experience in procurement and supply chain processes while providing support to junior team members. This position is crucial for optimizing costs and improving efficiency in operations.
Responsibilities
- Plan, source, and negotiate with suppliers for procurement.
- Monitor inventory levels for optimal stock management.
- Work with teams to forecast demand and material requirements.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities in the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and coordinate activities.

- Plan, source, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost‑effective procurement of materials and services.
- Evaluate supplier performance (price, quality, delivery, service) and maintain approved vendor lists.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock without overstocking.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including shipping arrangements and customs clearance.
- Oversee warehouse operations to ensure accurate stock records.
- Work closely with production and sales teams to forecast demand and plan material requirements.
- Ensure supply plans align with production schedules and delivery timelines.
- Identify opportunities to reduce supply chain costs through process improvement and vendor negotiations.
- Implement best practices to improve efficiency and reduce lead time.
- Ensure all procurement, logistics, and inventory activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and coordinate with other departments to resolve supply chain issues.
- Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, inventory status, and cost analysis.
