When real-world product issues occur, we investigate them deeply, engineer the right solution, and prevent repeat faults. As part of our growing KL hub, we are seeking a senior mechanical engineering team leader who can guide engineers, solve problems, and oversee the technical accuracy of our instruction manuals.

Senior Mechanical Engineer
Kuala Lumpur | Full-time

We’ve recently hired a Mechanical Engineering Lead and are now building a senior mechanical team around them. This role is for experienced, hands-on engineers who can design, validate, and deliver real physical products at scale.

About the role
• Report directly to the Mechanical Engineering Lead
• Design and develop mechanical systems for consumer products
• Take ownership of components and assemblies from concept to production
• Drive DFM, DFA, and cost-down initiatives
• Work closely with suppliers, tooling partners, and manufacturers
• Support testing, validation, and certification requirements
• Solve real-world engineering problems, not just CAD exercises

What you’ll be working on
• Structural and load-bearing components
• Plastic, steel, and aluminium parts
• Injection moulded and fabricated assemblies
• Tolerance analysis and stack-ups
• Failure analysis and iterative design improvement
• Carton design and export wireframes for instruction manuals
• Products that must be safe, durable, and scalable at high volume

What we’re looking for
• 6+ years experience as a mechanical engineer
• Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
• Deep understanding of materials, manufacturing, and tooling
• Experience taking products from concept through mass production
• Practical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working closely with factories and suppliers

Nice to have
• Consumer products or outdoor equipment experience
• Injection mould tooling experience
• Experience working with China-based manufacturers
• Exposure to testing standards and compliance
