Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain professional with a strong blend of planning skills, logistical expertise and leadership capability. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter and adept at managing across various levels - from complex multi-country planning and international supply chains, to day-to-day order fulfillment and inventory control.

Financial knowledge is a big plus, and ideally the candidate should be an effective communicator capable of leading and mentoring a team in a high-growth environment.

Core Responsibilities
Regional Planning (35%)
  • Production Linkage: Proactively communicate with the Procurement and Quality department in China to ensure production schedules are optimized and adhered to.
  • Supply Planning: Lead and mentor local planning for finished goods in key markets like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, ensuring optimal Weeks of Cover and Zero Out of Stock.
  • System Liaison: Serve as the POC for all system related matters impacting the supply chain, ensuring data accuracy and process integrity.
Import Coordination (15%)
  • Shipping & Logistics: Ensure timely shipping of finished goods from factories in China to meet regional Business Unit demands.
  • Documentation & Financial Reconciliation: Check and match shipping and commercial documents from Chinese factories to internal records for finance reconciliation; cooperate with the Procurement department to correct any discrepancies found.
Local Operations Management - Malaysia (50%)
  • Full responsibility for the entire Operations scope in Malaysia, including planning, order handling, logistics and cost management.
  • Sourcing & Projects: Source for quotes, and manage local projects such as co-packing and operations cost optimization.
  • Order Fulfillment: Manage daily orders with the team, ensuring timely key in and pick/pack by 3PL to meet OTIF KPIs.
  • Delivery Execution: Ensure deliveries are executed efficiently to all designated channels.
  • Inventory management: Responsible for stocks at 3PL warehouses, including replenishment, stock accuracy, disposal and seasonal stock takes.
  • Import Shipment Management: Execute and ensure shipments from China are on track, including customs clearance and inbound logistics.
  • Cost Management: Fully responsible for Operations cost in Malaysia, including invoice checking/approval, analysis/reporting and cost improvement.
  • Strategy and People Management: Lead and mentor the local Malaysia Operations team;build, fine tune and execute local Operations strategy, based on local requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strategic Planning & Regional Coordination: Expertise in leading multi-country demand planning, and executing international logistics (preferably out of China).
  • End-to-End Local Supply Chain Leadership: experience in operational supply chain in Malaysia, especially logistics, 3PL/inventory management, order fulfillment, and cost control/reduction.
  • Process Acumen and People Management: Experience in using established ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics, etc), with clear understanding of supply chain processes; track record of leading teams and improving processes high-growth environments.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5-8+ of progressive experience in Supply Chain/Operations, with at least 2-3 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Industry: Experience in a high-growth environment and/or a company that deals with high-volume finished goods imports from China (FMCG, Retail, Tech Hardware, etc.)
  • Ability to speak Mandarin and read/write Chinese is a must to liaise with suppliers in China.
