Position Summary
Logistic & Warehouse Manager is responsible to managing warehouse operations by monitoring the daily activities. You are to design and develop product movement and storage systems.
You will be responsible for your subordinate(s), providing them the required support, motivation and leadership practices that aligned with the Merlin core values.
Responsibility
- Accomplishes warehouse operations human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Implement and oversee inventory management systems to track stock movement and minimize loss or waste as well as conduct regular cycle counts and full stock takes.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
- Develops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment.
- Develops warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Analyse inventory reports and resolve discrepancies
- Analyse warehouse performance metrics (accuracy, productivity, wastage and delivery times).
- Coordinate with purchasing, F&B and retail teams to forecast demand and plan replenishment schedules
- Develop or enhance and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) in relation to warehouse operations.
- Ensure all F&B products are handled and stored under proper hygiene and temperature conditions.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification Diploma in any related industry in the Supply Chain Management, Merchandise, Retail or Logistic and Warehouse.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse and logistics management role.
- Familiars with ERP system.
- Good leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
