The Role
We are seeking a creative, highly organised, and technically skilled Social Media Technician to lead the development, scheduling, and optimisation of content across our social media platforms. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong digital production skills. You’ll be responsible for growing our online presence, driving engagement, and representing the Pegasus brand in a professional yet dynamic way.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of daily social media output across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.
- Develop and manage a long-term content calendar and social media schedule.
- Produce, edit, and publish engaging video content using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut and related tools.
- Create visually compelling static and animated content using Photoshop and Canva.
- Edit, and publish podcast episodes across relevant platforms.
- Monitor and interpret analytics tools to assess engagement and inform strategy.
- Drive growth across all platforms, increasing followers and interactions.
- Develop interactive content such as polls, stories, Q&As, and live sessions.
- Stay ahead of social media and digital content trends to ensure content remains fresh and competitive.
- Liaise with the internal team to ensure content supports broader recruitment and marketing goals.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a social media, content creation, or digital marketing role.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Canva, CapCut, and podcast editing platforms.
- Skilled in using social media scheduling tools such as Buffer or Hootsuite.
- Confident using analytics platforms such as Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Analytics, TikTok Analytics, and YouTube Studio.
- Excellent command of Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Good knowledge of design principles such as layout, colour, and typography.
- Photo and audio editing skills for polishing content.
Desirable Technical Skills
- Understanding of email marketing platforms like Mailchimp or HubSpot.
- Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS).
- Awareness of digital marketing campaigns and integration with recruitment goals.
- Strong copywriting and caption writing ability tailored to various platforms.
- Sound understanding of Search Engine Optimisation for social media (hashtags, descriptions, tagging).
- Ability to manage social media issues or negative feedback professionally.
- Previous experience working within a recruitment company, B2B environment, or a construction-related brand, with a clear understanding of professional tone and industry-specific content.
