Core Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report on land use related matters and recommend best engineering practices
  • Assist with Road and Stormwater planning in your area of accountability
  • Commenting on Land‑Use applications, including Rezonings, Subdivisions, Consent‑Use Applications, SDP's and Building Plans.
  • Prepare comments on Land use applications and calculate external road and stormwater contributions
  • Ensure good engineering standard is maintained across the city and all developers comply with the same regulation.
  • Ensure required services for township are installed and maintained
  • Ensure service agreements between township owners or developers are set up
  • Issue Occupation, Regulation 38 and Section 82 Certificates at various stages of development
  • Draft a multi‑year capital investment program related to Roads and Stormwater Engineering and ensure that supply chain processes are adhered to as per MFMA
  • Ensure Traffic Impact Study requirements and Storm‑Water Management Plan recommendations are adhered to and assets created on City's behalf comply to the City's standards
  • Ensure effective administration of the section, optimum utilization of resources and compliance of council and departmental policies
