Takealot, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Campaign Manager: Category Growth Specialist to join our team in Cape Town.

This role reports to the Head of Performance & Projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing a social media paid content strategy aligned with takealot.com's marketing objectives, including collaboration with brand strategy partners where required, and integrating paid and organic strategies with support from our Head of Performance Marketing and external agencies.
- Managing and optimizing Takealot's performance channels, focusing on Paid Social, with regular reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborating with other departments to prioritize marketing efforts that enable business success across paid social and other paid media channels.
- Building and maintaining relationships with commercial partners at the account manager level and advising on best practices across performance and organic media channels.
- Developing and executing paid social media strategies for key business categories.
- Working closely with the Social Media Manager to align organic and paid strategies and campaigns across social media platforms.
- Creating channel-specific content plans to engage followers across all social media channels.
- Executing all commercial paid campaigns as booked by the Advertising or Retail Marketing teams.
- Implementing campaign strategies technically, including setup, bidding, A/B testing, and feedback across all performance marketing channels.
- Managing and optimizing campaigns across various channels (Google, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) and platforms (web, app).
- Refining and scaling campaign strategies to ensure a cohesive full-funnel marketing approach.
- Identifying strategic growth audiences and developing high-quality media plans specific to categories.
Attributes required:
- Data-driven decision-making skills capable of engaging management at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset.
- Attention to detail in campaign setup and reporting.
- Experience in eCommerce is required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science is preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a campaign manager.
- Certifications: Google Ads (Required), Google Analytics (Required), DoubleClick (Beneficial).
- Experience with platforms such as Google Ads (Search, Shopping, YouTube, App Campaigns), Google Marketing Platform (beneficial but not required), SA360, DV360, CM360, GA360, GA4, and social platforms including Meta Ads (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), TikTok, Snapchat (beneficial).
