Job summary
A prominent water utility company in South Africa is searching for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant. The successful candidate will support asset management and financial operations in the Scientific Services Division. Responsibilities include verifying asset records, managing petty cash, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with quality management systems. Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience, strong skills in Excel and SAP, and a commitment to accuracy and detail. This is a permanent position located in Vereeniging.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a financial environment, specifically asset management.
- Advanced skills in MS Office applications and proficient in SAP.
Responsibilities
- Assist with asset management and verify, reconcile, and update asset records on SAP.
- Prepare and submit asset verification reports and audit assets annually.
- Manage petty cash availability and ensure compliance with policies.
- Liaise with internal departments for asset and cash related matters.
