• To lead a team within the AML Operations function (Transactional Monitoring, Enhanced Due Diligence, Screening, Regulatory Reporting and Quality Teams) thereby minimising risk to the bank as well as complying with legislated and regulatory AML requirements.

Minimum:

• At least 3 years’ experience in an AML Environment within a financial / banking environment where judgement, decision making and assessment in respect of AML has been part of the role.
• At least 3 years’ experience of leading or managing people.

Ideal:

• 1 year’s experience or more in investigations in AML, forensics or fraud
• Experience of leading a team to deliver results and achieve targets or SLAs

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or Business Administration

• Honours Degree in Commerce or Business Administration

Minimum:

• Basic knowledge of regulations pertaining to anti-money laundering and combating of terrorist financing
• AML typologies
• Basic regulatory knowledge
• Business and commercial awareness
• Enhanced Due Diligence procedures
• People management principles
• Knowledge of and ability to prevent or report money laundering and sanctions-related activities in banking and financial services industry

Ideal:

• Knowledge of the Capitec Bank environment
• Basic principles of budgeting
• Leadership practices
• Investigatory techniques

• Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
