Job summary
A leading telecommunications solutions provider is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Director based in Kuala Lumpur or Bentong–Raub. This role requires managing project execution and an in-house technician team while ensuring effective communication with clients and subcontractors. Candidates should possess strong skills in project management and cost control, and be fluent in English, with Chinese proficiency being advantageous. Frequent business travel and short-term assignments may be necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience managing an in-house technician team of at least 20.
- Ability to manage subcontractors effectively.
- Strong background in project cost control.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee project execution for telecom projects.
- Ensure timely response to client and management urgencies.
- Conduct frequent business travel for project needs.
Skills
Experience with TM Network Contractors (NeC) projects, including both network-facing and customer-facing roles.
Proven experience managing an in-house technician team of at least 20 teams, as well as subcontractor management.
Strong background in project cost control and customer relationship building.
Highly responsible, with the ability to respond promptly to urgent requirements from clients and internal management.
Based in KL or Bentong–Raub, with frequent business travel and occasional short-term on-site assignments required.
Candidates must be fluent in English at minimum; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage to communicate with HQ.
