Job summary

CPI (Penang) is seeking an Application Support professional to ensure the smooth operation of systems and services. Responsibilities include system administration, troubleshooting, and technical support for ERP applications. Ideal candidates will have a diploma or degree in IT, with at least 2 years of experience. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in English, and a solid understanding of ERP systems, notably SAP.

Job description

Ensure systems and services are always available and running smoothly (24/7/365).

Lead system administration and provide advanced support for ERP and business applications.

Support various IT teams with technical services.

Monitor and maintain enterprise applications and business services.

Handle alerts from monitoring tools, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective actions.

Manage incidents: resolve or escalate to relevant IT teams or vendors.

Monitor and manage batch jobs (e.g., backups, data loads).

Create and deliver regular technical and management reports.

Develop and maintain web-based applications for internal use.

Provide backup support for hardware tasks when needed.

Participate in projects and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements and skills:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

Solid understanding of ERP systems (particularly SAP), manufacturing systems, MS SQL (client/server), and web-based applications.

Self-motivated, quick learner with a positive attitude.

Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities in English.

Build in "SPC" control on moulding conditions. Our EMS division for box build operations is also poised for growth. As of today, CPI has produced over 1000 items of different products for various industries such as Telecommunication, Computer, Electrical and Electronics, Automotive, Leisure Marine Industry and also other Industrial plastics parts, that caters for local and as well as export market such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, USA, Italy, Japan, China, Taiwan and Indonesia.
