The Deputy Director of Telecommunication Fraud (Policy) will contribute to develop the and executing policy framework, strategies, guideline, and implementations in preventing the misuse of telecommunication facilities and services for crime and fraudulent activities in ensuring a safe environment for all.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Policy and Regulatory Framework Development

• Contribution in the development of comprehensive policy and regulatory frameworks in preventing the misuse of telecommunication facilities and services for crime and fraudulent activities, aligning with national policy objectives of the CMA98, and other national policies and directives.

2. Research Partnership

• Lead participant in research partnership with stakeholders in the enhancement of capabilities, processes, tools, and systems to facilitate effective scam related investigation and the sharing of actionable information.

3. Security Operations

• Monitor and addressing incidents escalated by National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) under the provision of technical assistance in scam mitigation to Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), ensuring rapid response to incidents.

4. Inter-agency Cooperations

• Engage at domestic and international platforms to promote networking, information exchange, and capacity development in scam related issues.

5. Advocacy and Awareness

• Proposing and planning advocacy, awareness, and training programs to enhance internal and external stakeholder's capacity on matters pertaining to crime mitigation and scam interventions.

6. Project Management

• Coordinate and assisting project leader in the department to ensure successful delivery of the project in achieving the intended outcome.

• Monitor and control the department financial budget and costs to ensure effective and efficient utilization of funds.

Qualifications & Work Experience

1. Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Telecommunication Engineering.

2. Minimum 5 years working experience in regulatory and/or information and cyber or/and telecommunication domain.

3. Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and possess good writing and communications skills in English and Bahasa.
