Job summary
A leading real estate investment trust in Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years experience. Responsibilities include leading teams, controlling project budgets, and ensuring timely tender processes. Strong communication skills and proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field.
- Experience in a consultancy firm or property developer managing commercial/property investment projects is an added advantage.
- Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Obtain competitive Bid and Award Tender on Time.
- Control project cost and ensure overall budget is maintained.
- Lead a team of consultants and contractors to deliver the project on time.

- Obtain competitive Bid and Award Tender on Time
- Minimise Value of Variation
- Control project cost and ensure overall budget of the projects is maintained from inception to completion
- Evaluate the contractor's bid and advise on the competitiveness of price and to monitor the cost of major cost elements
- Exercise timely and accurate completion of final account.
- Lead a team of consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver the project's base on time cost and quality, environmental, safety and health compliance.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, and other relevant fields
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field
- Experienced in a consultancy firm or property developer managing commercial/ property investment projects is an added advantage
- Able to work under pressure and ability to deliver assignments within the committed deadline
- Possess good leadership skills to be able to lead and manage a team of consultants to achieve desired results
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia
