Job summary

A medical manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Production Planner. The successful candidate will handle production scheduling, liaise with the sales department on delivery timelines, and prepare reports to monitor production efficiently. Candidates should hold a degree in Engineering, Accounting, or Finance and have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL is essential, alongside strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Production Planning (including material planning, manpower planning and manage Production schedule) to meet delivery schedule of sales order.
• To liaise with Sales department on Customer’s order and expected delivery schedule.
• Based on Sales Order received from Sales department, to compute material consumption for production.
• To communicate with Warehouse on available stock level of finished goods and raw material.
• To co‑ordinate with Purchasing department on procurement and delivery schedule of raw materials etc.
• To work with Production department on production schedule closely to meet delivery schedule.
• Report preparation: In order to monitor Production schedule effectively, to update and maintain Production master schedule (production budget vs actual output, sales order received vs sales order not produced yet etc.)
• To assist Finance in preparing product costing report, production efficiency report etc.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties assigned by superior from time to time.

Requirements

• Graduates in any discipline (preferably Engineering/ Accounting/ Finance) with at least 2 year(s) of working experience in related field is required for this position.
• Relevant experience in production planning in manufacturing is an added advantage.
• Preferably Senior Executive specializing in Manufacturing /Production Operations or equivalent.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Fast‑learner, meticulous and able to work under pressure.
• Possess good communication skill, self‑discipline, initiative, result‑oriented, problem solving, positive attitude.
• Good attendance record and team player.
• Other skills required: Microsoft Excel, SQL.
• Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is an added advantage.
