A marketing firm in Malaysia seeks a Marketing Executive specializing in content and copywriting. The ideal candidate will produce engaging copy for various platforms, support campaign planning, and optimize website content for SEO. Candidates should possess a relevant degree and have 2–3 years of experience or a strong writing portfolio. This role requires creativity, excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Writing & Creative Copy
Write persuasive and engaging copy for social media posts, captions, ads, websites, newsletters, and product descriptions.
Develop storytelling concepts for videos, campaigns, and brand content.
Craft marketing messages that improve customer engagement and strengthen brand awareness.
Produce catchy headlines, taglines, slogans, and key messaging for campaigns.
2. Campaign & Marketing Support
Work closely with the marketing team to support campaign planning and execution.
Assist in writing promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, banners, and digital ads.
Develop copy for seasonal promotions, product launches, and events.
Ensure all written content aligns with campaign objectives and brand tone.
3. Social Media Content Development
Write content tailored to each platform (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube).
Support the creation of content calendars by providing engaging captions and messaging.
Collaborate with multimedia designers to ensure visual and copy consistency.
4. Website & SEO Copywriting
Produce clear and optimized website content for better SEO performance.
Update product pages, landing pages, and blogs with engaging and keyword-friendly copy.
Ensure website messaging remains consistent and aligned with brand identity.
5. Proofreading & Quality Control
Proofread and edit content created by the marketing team to ensure high quality.
Check for grammar accuracy, message clarity, and brand consistency.
Ensure all content adheres to company writing standards and guidelines.
6. Research & Insight Development
Conduct research on industry trends, competitor messaging, and customer behavior.
Gather insights to improve writing tone, message relevance, and marketing effectiveness.
Understand target audience and tailor messaging to different market segments.
Work closely with designers, multimedia creators, marketing executives, and sales teams.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.
Maintain marketing files, image libraries, and databases.
Support the marketing manager and team on any assigned ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, English, Creative Writing, or related field.
2–3 years of copywriting or content creation experience preferred.
Fresh graduates with strong writing portfolios may be considered.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Strong command of English (BM/Mandarin a plus depending on business needs).
Creative thinker with strong storytelling ability.
Understanding of digital marketing, social media trends, and audience engagement.
Ability to write in different tones and styles (formal, fun, sales-driven, educational).
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with creative and marketing teams.
