Job summary

A leading semiconductor company in Malacca is seeking passionate Quality Engineers who are ready to make an impact. The role involves managing customer audits, developing quality management systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates possess 2–5 years of quality engineering experience, a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, and are proficient in statistical process control and FMEA. Fresh graduates with relevant internships may also be considered for junior roles.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of process flow, defect mechanisms, and yield improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and monitor SPC methodologies to analyse manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO/IATF and customer requirements.

We're on the lookout for Quality Engineers who are ready to make an impact and help us raise the bar even higher. The ideal candidate should have experience in at least one the following areas:

Customer Audit

Communicate with customers and prepare for customer audits, including agenda planning and product information.

Review and respond to customer audit checklists.

Manage the full customer audit process, coordinate between internal teams and customers, and oversee audit progress.

Effectively handle unexpected issues during audits to ensure smooth progress.

Review, summarize, and follow up on audit findings and CAPA.

Lead departmental projects and follow through on action items.

QA/QC

Statistical Process Control - Develop, implement and monitor SPC methodologies to analyse manufacturing processes. Utilize statistical tools to identify trends and deviations, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Management - Establish and maintain ESD control measures to safeguard sensitive semiconductor components. Conduct audits, provide training, and ensure compliance with ESD standards throughout the facility.

Measurement System Analysis (MSA) - Conduct MSA to assess the precision and accuracy of measurement systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize measurement processes and reduce variability.

Quality Support - Assist other quality control functions by participating in root cause analysis, corrective action planning and the development of quality improvement initiatives.

Quality Systems or other quality-related fields

Maintain and improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO/IATF and customer requirements.

Lead internal audits, manage audit readiness, and drive timely CAPA closure.

Oversee document control, quality procedures, and compliance governance.

Support customer and third-party audits with strong cross-functional coordination.

Track quality metrics, identify systemic gaps, and drive improvement initiatives.

Support risk management activities including FMEA and change management.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent).

2–5 years of experience in quality engineering in a semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environment. Candidates with more experience can be considered for managerial positions.

Fresh graduates with strong academic background and internship experience in related quality fields may be considered for junior roles.

Technical Skills

Proficient in SPC (Statistical Process Control), FMEA, 8D, and 5 Why analysis.

Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and quality data analytics tools (e.g. Minitab, JMP).

Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or relevant semiconductor quality standards.

Understanding of process flow, defect mechanisms, and yield improvement techniques in semiconductor manufacturing.
