A concrete manufacturing company located in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a Safety Officer to oversee workplace safety and health compliance. This role involves identifying potential risks, conducting regular inspections, and liaising with local authorities on safety matters. The ideal candidate should have experience in safety management within industrial settings and possess strong communication skills for conducting safety training. Regular audits and documentation will be part of the responsibilities.
Identifying potential risks within the work environment and identify unsafe act and unsafe condition at factory.
Liaise with local authorities for Safety & Health Matter.
Responsible on general conformance and compliance on safety, health and environmental requirements.
Issue Permit To Work (PTW) for related works and review work method statement (MS) on safety & health matters.
Daily Workplace unsafe act & condition monitoring.
Monitoring all related factory activities and conducting regular inspection and ensuring the work
being carried out is in line with approved JSA, Risk Assessment, Method statement and approved
Permit to Work System for every activity being carried out.
Assist the Safety Manager to organize and lead site investigation and mitigate and safety incidents, if occurred.
Assist Safety Manager to perform safety & health inspection, briefing & training at workplace.
Conduct induction and toolbox meeting and safety task briefing to workers and sub-contractors.
Monitor & review all the factory machineries routine physical inspections & records keepings such as gantry/overhead cranes, rebar machines, turn table, lifting gears & etc.
Monitor & review all the factory electrical hand and power tools routine physical inspection &
records keepings such as hacker, grinder, welding set & etc
Weekly workplace and plant audit.
Record keeping, compilation & submission of documents & records related to Occupational Safety & Health
