Role Purpose:

Aligning with Vx strategic imperatives, lead Greater China R&D Team to deliver the regional business growth through world-class technical customer experience as well as to provide Centre of Excellence service globally.

Principal Accountabilities:

For the role is accountable for:

  • SHE
    • World-class SHE for the operation of AITC and Greater China Team
    • SHE best practice for the capability extension
    • Demonstrating the continuous improvement on SHE culture, according to Vx Global SHE guidance and governance
  • Quality
    • Accurate understanding of market and customer technical challenges
    • Delivery of reliable technical knowledge based on robust data through internal capability and eco-system
    • Integration of data and information with global system and database
    • Compliance to all regulations and qualifications with Vx global consistency as applicable
  • Delivery
    • Leading and driving strategic and tactical technical deliverables to grow and retain business in Greater China
    • Delivery of technical knowledge in both virtual and physical for application development and technical service
    • New product development through SCP (Shanghai Compounding Plant)
    • Execution of IP strategy
    • Cultivation and promotion of Centre of Excellence for supporting global business
    • Delivering differentiated solutions together with internal stakeholders based on the technical assessment on regional competitive landscape
  • Cost
    • Strategic and tactical forecast and proactive management within the budget
    • CAPEX business case development and execution
    • Business case prioritisation and resource optimisation for the effective delivery of projects and services
  • Integration
    • Integration and Leading cross-functional stakeholders for the technical delivery to grow Vx business
    • Synergy with the other Technical Centres for maximising customer experience
    • Sustainable development of Greater China Technical Team with utilising Vx HR initiatives
    • Integration with our internal/external customers by providing differentiated solutions

Required Skills:

  • Able to display diplomacy in working with stakeholders both internally and externally towards a common goal
  • Proven strong leadership experience in leading a technical organisation with a future focus whilst managing expectations of cross-functional stakeholders at senior level
  • Delivery of the world-class technical customer experience based on strategic and tactical decision making
  • Driving and managing portfolio of projects including new product development and capital investment by optimising resources, hands-on when needed
  • Driving delivery of differentiated solutions as a customer-facing technical engineer throughout customer experience journey
  • Demonstration of the best practice for the successful team development and global integration
  • Native Chinese speaker with high level of English skills
