Job summary
A leading laboratory services company is seeking a laboratory technician in Kulim, Malaysia. This role involves performing chemical and physical analysis, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The ideal candidate should exhibit knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice and be able to accurately document test results. This position offers a chance to contribute to various laboratory activities and uphold high testing standards.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
- Ability to perform chemical and physical testing.
- Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration.
Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical and physical testing for lab samples.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Document and record all test results accurately.
To perform chemical and physical analysis in the chemistry laboratory and maintaining of all laboratory equipment, chemicals and glassware in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). Responsible for the execution of all analysis as well as maintenance and calibration of the equipment in the Chemistry Laboratory.
- Perform chemical and physical testing for Incoming, Compounding and Dip Room samples.
- Ensure that test are carried out as per outlined in the Basic Operating Procedure (BOP).
- Responsible for preparations and standardizations of chemicals used in the lab.
- Responsible for proper documentation and recording of all test results.
- Responsible for maintenance and/or calibration of all laboratory equipment.
- Ensure adherence to company’s Environmental, Safety and Health policies.
- Support 5S activities in the laboratory.
- Carry out special projects as directed by Supervisor.
