Job summary
A retail pharmacy in Malacca City is seeking a supervisor to oversee daily operations, conduct staff training, and enhance customer service. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma and a minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience in retail. Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to analyze sales trends and manage staff. This role may require working shifts and weekends, and proficiency in English is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in retail, preferably pharmacy.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage people.
- Capable of using retail systems and computer literate.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily outlet operations and ensure reliability.
- Conduct training and coaching for new team members.
- Assist in staffing and performance appraisal processes.

Education
- Oversee day-to-day outlet operations with responsibility and reliability
- Conduct on-the-job training and coaching for new team members
- Assist in staff scheduling, rostering, and performance appraisal processes
- Display strong product knowledge and deliver excellent customer service
- Monitor merchandise performance and provide feedback to Buyers and Managers
- Recommend ideas to improve customer experience and business outcomes
- Prepare and coordinate stock take exercises
- Support the Branch Manager in achieving outlet goals and operational excellence
- Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or equivalent in any field
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in retail (pharmacy experience is an added advantage)
- Strong organizational and people management skills
- Computer literate and capable of using retail systems
- Able to analyse sales trends and drive team performance
- Skilled in handling difficult customer situations professionally
- Willing to work retail hours, including shifts and weekends
- Proficient in English (spoken and written) is an advantage
- Demonstrates leadership qualities and team accountability
