The company has three manufacturing sites and research and development offices in Penang, producing automotive electronics, power tools, and steering systems, with a new fourth plant featuring a final testing center for sensors and semiconductors.

PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia, a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan, Penang. Construction began in May 2021, with the first series of production scheduled to start in 2023. With the forecasted growth in semiconductor components, and the existing front-end production in Dresden, Germany, capacity expansion is necessary for the back-end production, which involves the final testing of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on testing components manufactured at Bosch’s Dresden facility and will also include R&D and training facilities.

Job Overview

The Financial Analyst & Controlling Executive is a process-oriented expert in data analysis, reporting, and IT systems. They carry out routine tasks such as data collection, validation, plausibility checks, and report generation. They apply strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data, translating multi-functional information into insights. They also handle ad hoc requests in collaboration with Business Partners and work on continuous process improvement.

Job Responsibilities

1. Planning, controlling, and analytical tasks:

• Detailed planning in SAP systems
• Generation of actual data
• Responsibility for data quality (consistency and completeness)
• Plausibility checks of reports
• Identification and correction of errors
• Tracking and controlling costs and KPIs

1. Coordination and execution of standard reporting processes

• Ensure timely delivery of data and reports, e.g., MBR/ CF/ BP

1. Data collection, processing, and consolidation for stakeholders

• Organizational-specific reporting
• Reporting to external authorities

1. Participate in Business Plan and Current Forecast preparation

1. Handle ad hoc requests in collaboration with Business Partners

1. Drive digital transformation and implementation

1. Gather requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to establish and implement the digitalization plan for the Controlling department

1. Work closely with other departments, Bosch locations, and the Central team

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in the semiconductor and manufacturing industry, in cost controlling
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with people at all levels
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement
• Experience with SAP, especially Controlling (CO), is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, and Power BI
• High sense of responsibility, initiative, and adaptability to change and improvement
• High integrity, result-oriented, with attention to detail
