Job summary

A leading township developer in Malaysia is seeking a Junior Accounts Executive to manage financial transactions and prepare audits. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years in accounts receivable/payable, strong Excel skills, and relevant accounting qualifications. This position requires strong communication and planning skills, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Junior Accounts/Accounts Executive - Corporate Finance

Reporting to the Group Chief Accountant, the Junior Accounts Executive/Accounts Executive’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Handle posting and processing entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded properly.
  • Ensure month end close duties are prioritized and deadlines delivered on time.
  • Prepare the reconciliation for all balance sheet items and control accounts.
  • Prepare year-end audit and tax schedules as required.
  • Handle AR & AP area of works together with accounts assistant and support as needed.
  • Liaise with banker for all banking matters.
  • Liaise with auditors and tax agent for all financial year audit and tax matters.
  • Liaise with company secretary for all statutory filing matters.
  • Handle ad‑hoc assignments as and when required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum LCCI/Diploma in Accounting or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance from a recognized institution or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with working knowledge of computerized accounting systems preferably Navision.
  • Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in handling accounts receivable and payable.
  • Possess high integrity and good analytical skills.
  • Strong communicator for both written and oral.
  • Excellent planning skills & ability to prioritize and multi‑task.
  • Able to work independently and have a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
