Job summary
A leading construction firm in Kuala Lumpur seeks a qualified individual to assist in planning and monitoring development projects. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields, with at least 5 years of experience in construction or property development. You will engage with consultants, prepare crucial submissions, and ensure design compliance. - Well-versed in architectural, civil, structural, landscape, mechanical and electrical works.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager in planning and monitoring development activities.
- Liaise with consultants on project planning.
- Prepare correspondence for authority submissions.
- Review Design Drawings to ensure they meet design intent.
- Update team on work schedule progress for presentation to Management.
- Compile and submit weekly progress reports.

- Assist the Manager in planning, monitoring, and controlling development activities and act as the authority’s liaison for development projects.
- Liaise with consultants on project planning and development-related matters and follow up on Authority submission progress and approval to be obtained in a timely manner.
- Prepare correspondence for authority submission, contractors and relevant parties and keep proper tracking on approval letters.
- Review Design Drawings, Submission Drawings, Tender Drawings, and Construction Drawings to ensure designs are correctly interpreted based on design intent.
- Periodically update the team on work schedule progress including billing and construction cashflow, for presentation to the Management.
- Compile and submit weekly progress reports.
- Perform any other assignments instructed by Superiors or Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Architecture or other relevant fields.
- Minimum 5 years’ working experience in construction or property development with exposure to dealing with authorities.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Project is an added advantage.
- Well-versed in architectural, civil, structural, landscape, mechanical and electrical works.
- Good interpersonal, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
- Time, cost, quality, and safety conscious.
- Good computer application skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of legal and other requirements, and good environmental practices.
