We are looking for a Group Financial Controller to cover all spectrums of the finance functions including operational finance, corporate finance, treasury, taxation as well as management and financial reporting.
Job Responsibilities
General Duties:
· Diligently perform all tasks assigned by the Employer related to the business.
· Devote full time and attention to the Employer's service.
· Follow management's instructions and comply with company policies and procedures.
· Promote and extend the business of the Employer and its subsidiaries.
· Lead and manage the finance team, overseeing financial, accounting, accounts receivable, cash flow, treasury, and tax compliance functions.
Strategic Analysis:
· Analyze company operations, identifying areas for cost reduction, process improvement, and systems enhancement to drive capital accumulation for expansion.
Cash Flow Management:
· Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for operations, capital projects, and risk mitigation.
Cash Flow Analysis:
· Prepare detailed cash flow analysis and identify funding gaps, ensuring the company’s liquidity needs are adequately met.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
· Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
· Prepare accurate financial forecasts and monitor performance against budgets. Analyze variances and provide actionable insights to management.
Cost Control:
· Oversee cost control measures, analyzing cost structures, and recommending cost-saving initiatives across departments. Ensure policies are enforced and aligned with operational goals.
· Ensure timely processing of payments to suppliers while negotiating favorable terms and conditions to optimize cash flow.
· Ensure contracts comply with company policies, and resolve discrepancies in supplier accounts.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Collection:
· Oversee the collection of AR, ensuring timely payments from clients and managing overdue accounts to maintain cash flow stability.
Certification Pursuit:
· Ensure timely pursuit of certifications from main contractors/clients. Liaise with external parties to expedite approvals, maintaining strong relationships for future business.
Progress Claims:
· Coordinate with the Contract Department to ensure accurate and timely submission of project progression claims. Follow up on claim approvals to support cash flow planning.
· Manage financial risks, advise the Group Managing Director and Group CEO on risk-related issues, and implement effective internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets.
SOP Review & Updates:
· Regularly revisit and update company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency and compliance. Ensure SOPs align with best practices and business objectives.
Compliance & Reporting:
· Ensure compliance with the latest accounting standards, taxation laws, and group policies.
· Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, identifying trends, results, and forecasts for management and stakeholders.
Liaison with External Stakeholders:
· Collaborate with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and maintain healthy relationships.
Job Requirements
Candidate must possess at least ACCA or Bachelor Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional qualification in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent;
Working experiences in Interior Design/Construction/Property Sector will have advantage;
