We’re looking for a capable and committed professional to strengthen our procurement team and help us win in the market.
Role Summary
This position is crucial in managing procurement across our Route to Market (RTM) channels. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships – especially with principals and key vendors – to secure the best deals for pricing, quality, and service. We need someone who is hands-on, commercially sharp, and able to operate with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities :
Procurement & Negotiation
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities for RTM-related products and services.
- Negotiate effectively with principals, suppliers, and distributors to secure the best commercial terms.
- Drive cost efficiency without compromising quality and service levels.
Supplier & Principal Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and principals.
- Ensure supplier compliance, consistent supply, and performance tracking.
- Identify new supplier opportunities and alternative sources when needed.
Commercial Alignment
- Work closely with the Sales and Commercial teams to align procurement strategies with market demands.
- Understand market trends, pricing dynamics, and competitor benchmarks to support agile decision-making.
Execution & Ownership
- Operate independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ensure timely purchase orders, accurate pricing, and inventory availability to meet business needs.
- Track and report on procurement KPIs, savings, and supplier performance.
Process & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records, contracts, and purchase documentation.
- Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies and SOPs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement or buying, preferably in wholesale, FMCG, or distribution.
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
- Able to handle high volume, fast-paced transactions with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Excel and procurement tools/systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
