A reputable financial services firm in Kepala Batas, Malaysia is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to serve as the principal advisor to senior management. Responsibilities include managing financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, as well as overseeing team performance. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in finance management, strong analytical abilities, and familiarity with tools like Excel and Power BI. Act as the principal financial advisor to the CEO and senior management.
Support management in strategic decision-making, branch expansion, and investment initiatives.
Develop short-term and long-term financial plans for the Company.
Prepare and manage annual, quarterly, and monthly budgets.
Approve budgets for inventory purchases, marketing, and major expenditures.
Ensure OPEX and CAPEX are within approved targets.
Monitor daily and monthly cash flow.
Prepare company sales and profit forecasts.
Analyze forecast versus actual performance and recommend corrective actions.
Formulate strategies to improve profit margins and cost efficiency.
Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for the CEO and Board.
Oversee the preparation of P&L statements, cash flow statements, and financial performance summaries.
Develop and maintain financial dashboards (Excel / Google Sheets / Power BI).
Control and approve payments, invoices, and major financial commitments.
Ensure efficient management of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Supervise internal audits and ensure accuracy of financial records.
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, SST and LHDN.
Control inventory procurement costs and operating expenses.
Analyze slow-moving inventory and propose clearance plans.
Evaluate marketing expenditure ROI and recommend improvements.
Identify financial and operational risks.
Establish internal controls and risk mitigation plans.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and statutory requirements.
Lead and develop the finance team.
Set KPIs and monitor team performance.
