A dynamic digital marketing company located in Alor Merah, Kedah is seeking a creative Social Media Executive to manage and enhance its online presence on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. The role involves content creation, campaign execution, and social media analytics, and requires strong communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of relevant experience and familiarity with video editing tools. Occasional travel may be necessary for events and shoots.
As a Social Media Executive, you will be responsible for managing and growing our company’s online presence across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and others. You will create engaging content, plan and execute campaigns, and monitor performance to increase brand awareness, reach, and engagement.
This role involves content creation, including short-form videos and graphics, social media analytics, and community management. You will also support influencer collaborations, marketing campaigns, and events.
The ideal candidate is creative, proactive, and digitally savvy, with a strong understanding of current social media trends and basic video editing skills. Occasional travel to support campaigns or shoots may be required.
1.Content Creation & Execution
Conduct video shooting and editing for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other relevant platforms.
Plan and develop the content book, including scripts, storylines, and content concepts.
Create engaging and creative short‑form video content aligned with brand objectives.
Ensure all content follows brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual standards.
2.Content Planning & Posting
Write compelling captions, manage relevant hashtags, and prepare posting schedules.
Plan and manage weekly and monthly content calendars.
Publish content consistently according to campaign timelines and posting schedules.
3.Campaign & Marketing Support
Produce content for marketing campaigns, promotions, and company activities, including outdoor/on‑ground events.
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to support product launches, promotions, and brand initiatives.
Assist in executing social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement.
4.Influencer & Collaboration Support
Support influencer collaborations, including content planning, video direction, and coordination during shooting.
Provide creative direction to ensure influencer content aligns with brand messaging and objectives.
5.Monitoring, Analytics & Reporting
Monitor and analyze social media performance and content analytics (reach, engagement, views, follower growth).
Set up, manage, and run basic to intermediate Facebook and TikTok Ads based on brand strategy and direction from the Brand & CX Manager.
Prepare basic performance reports and insights for improvement.
Track social media trends and recommend content optimizations.
6.Community Management & Brand Presence
Monitor comments and direct messages, responding professionally when required.
Maintain a positive brand image and engage with the online community.
Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Media, or related field.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in social media management or content creation
Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and current social media trends.
Basic to intermediate skills in video editing tools (CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere – added advantage).
Creative, well‑organized, and able to work independently.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
Basic knowledge of social media analytics and performance tracking.
Willingness to travel occasionally for shoots, campaigns, and events.
