Health, Safety, Security and Environment Manager (HSSE)

As a HSSE Manager at Eastern & Oriental Express, a Belmond Train, you will be responsible for overseeing the health, safety, security and sustainablity of the train, ensuring the successful plan, development, and implementation of projects. You will lead HSSE team to set technical goals, and ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, sustainability and timelines. Additionally, you are responsible for budgeting, resource allocation, and safety awareness training. Maintain a high level of safety expertise, monitor industry trends, and ensure that the HSSE strategies align with the company's overall business objectives and goals. • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, national, and international health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments.
• Investigate workplace accidents and near misses, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
• Ensure that safety equipment and emergency procedures are in place and functional
• Monitor environmental conditions and compliance with environmental laws.
• Promote waste reduction, recycling, and the use of eco-friendly practices.
• Oversee workplace security measures, including monitoring systems, access controls, and employee safety.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, accidents, and audits.
• Generate reports for management on safety trends, incidents, and compliance status.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and operations, to implement health, safety, and environmental initiatives.

Requirements
