A technology and engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking a technician to perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of laboratory instruments and testing equipment. The ideal candidate will provide training and technical support to users, troubleshoot issues, and ensure equipment is properly calibrated and maintained. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, and candidates must be willing to travel within Malaysia and overseas. Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential.
Perform on-site installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of laboratory instruments and material testing equipment, including associated computer systems and software.
Provide user training and technical guidance on equipment operation, system usage, and basic troubleshooting.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration, and technical support for equipment and IT-related components.
Troubleshoot hardware, system, and electrical issues related to instruments and connected IT systems.
Liaise with customers and principals to coordinate after-sales technical support and service activities.
Prepare quotations for spare parts, repairs, upgrades, and replacements.
Promote service contracts and maintain accurate records of equipment under service responsibility.
Maintain proper documentation, including service reports, installation records, manuals, and calibration history.
Submit timely reports to internal teams, customers, or principals as required.
Update task and service status during weekly and monthly meetings.
Monitor calibration due dates, maintenance schedules, and system performance requirements.
Travel locally to support installation and field service activities when required.
Requirements:Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronic / IT-related) or equivalent.
Good communication skills, strong sense of responsibility, and high self-discipline.
Required languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia.
