Job summary
A contractor in Malaysia is looking for a professional in M&E engineering to identify project opportunities, manage execution, and supervise installations. Key responsibilities involve preparing proposals, supervising project systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Candidates should possess strong leadership, effective communication, and technical skills in M&E projects. This role can be demanding, requiring good time management and the ability to work under pressure at construction sites.
Qualifications

- Technical knowledge in C&S / M&E projects, ST, BOMBA.
Responsibilities
- Identify new project opportunities through networking and client relationships.
- Prepare proposals and presentations to secure new projects.
- Supervise installation of M&E systems with contractors and consultants.
- Manage project execution and resolve site issues.
- Coordinate site meetings and ensure timely feedback.

To ensure that the implementation of M&E engineering works runs smoothly in accordance with technical specifications, project timelines, budgets, industry standards, and legal requirements.
- Able to identify new project opportunities through industry networking and client relationships
- Capable of preparing proposals, quotations and presentations to secure new projects
- Proactive in conducting market studies & competitor analysis for M&E project opportunities
- Supervise and coordinate the installation of M&E project systems with contractors and consultants, including managing coordination
- Manage project execution and resolve site issues related to mechanical and electrical systems
- Manage and monitor tender participation
- Plan and review daily and weekly work schedules
- Review plans, specifications, variations, and technical documents
- Coordinate site meetings and ensure timely feedback to clients / consultants
- Manage project budgets and claims in collaboration with the QS and accounts teams
- Ensure compliance with laws, safety, industry standards, and company SOPs
- Supervise testing and commissioning (T&C) of electrical systems
- Liaise with Energy Commission, TNB, BOMBA, DOSH (JKKP), and other relevant departments
- Strong leadership and effective communication skills
- Good time management and ability to work under M&E project pressure
- Technical knowledge in C&S / M&E projects, ST, BOMBA
- Decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
- Good physical and mental health
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to work at construction sites under various weather and environmental conditions
