Job summary

A construction company in Malacca seeks a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage tender preparations, project timelines, and cost estimates. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or related fields, has at least 3 years' experience, and is proficient in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English. Job description

Preparation of feasibility studies, tender documents & drawing, cost estimation, review tender documents.

Pre-qualification and compile tenderer list for calling of tender.

To prepare post contract variation claim including take‑off quantities, BQ, build‑up rate, selection of materials, tendering & costs analysis, payment certifications, V.O, final account and compilation of all supporting documents.

Able to manage and coordinate project related construction drawing (control drawing) and transmit document to project site, contractual matters, including progress claim, verification, price comparison and certification of contractors/ consultant claims.

Assist in cost estimates, measurement of quantities and monitoring of project timeline.

Update and monitor monthly development cost and projection cost.

Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with Consultants, Contractors, and Site Team.

Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.

Advise on all aspects of construction costs, financial and contractual administration.

Coordinate with project team internally and externally, ensure project working on the right track.

Responsible for filing and other documentations management.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Quantity Surveying or in, any field.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.

Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in similar working capacity, preferably candidates with experience of preparation of project progress claim both in verbally and in writing.

Related QS work experience from renovation, design & built company is advantage.

Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
