Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Payroll and HR Specialist. The ideal candidate will oversee employee life cycle processes, manage payroll operations, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is required, along with at least 2 years of experience in payroll and HR activities. Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day employee life cycle processes and handle Payroll operation queries and providing ad-hoc supports and information to the key stakeholders and clients.
  • Maintain staff records, update employee database and proper filling for employment documents.
  • Responsible and liaise with payroll clients for monthly payroll run which include of time attendance administration, payroll and leave management.
  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll (This includes the entire cycle of payroll processing from capturing of new employees, leaves, terminations, and check and authorize claims).
  • Liaise with statutory bodies such as KWSP, PERKESO, EIS, LHDN on payroll/audit related issues.
  • Accountable for payroll reporting, payroll posting and payroll GLs reconciliation.
  • Any other projects such as payroll due diligence or duties as assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resource/Business Admin or its equivalent.
  • Must good command in English, both spoken and written, good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Payroll and Human Resources activities.
  • Must be computer literate (especially Microsoft Office & Excel). Ideally, has experience in handling Payroll Panda, InfoTech, HR2000 software.
  • Good knowledge about Employment Act and Employment Tax.
  • Ability to work independently and systematically with minimal supervision.
