Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full spectrum of financial operations, including daily accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and banking transactions.
- Prepare and review the full set of accounts in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
- Monitor and manage company cash flow, ensure liquidity, and conduct monthly budgeting and forecasting.
- Coordinate year-end audits, income tax filings (LHDN), SST returns, and all external financial submissions.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities on financial matters.
- Provide financial reports and analysis to management and recommend cost control or profit improvement initiatives.
- Ensure financial documentation compliance for internal ISO, GRS audits, and client audits (e.g., Coca-Cola).
- Review and verify monthly payroll prepared by the HR department (for approval only, no processing).
Secondary Responsibilities (Interim Support Only):
- Assist in reviewing expatriate tax filings for China-based employees in coordination with external consultants.
- Liaise with forwarding agents on import shipment costing and related financial documentation.
- Represent Finance in meetings or dealings with government departments (e.g., JTKSM, BOMBA, MBS) if related to financial documentation.
Job Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA, CPA, or CIMA qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, SST, and audit standards.
- Proficient in SQL Accounting System and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- High integrity, analytical, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
