Job Summary
CACEIS Malaysia, part of the global CACEIS network, delivers a broad spectrum of asset servicing to institutional clients across Europe. As an associate director you will lead a Fund Accounting team responsible for accurate NAV calculation, audit compliance, client service, and continuous process improvement.
- Manage daily operations of the Fund Accounting team, ensuring timely, accurate processing, reconciliation, and valuation for all funds.
- Serve as point of contact for escalated client issues and participate in weekly/monthly oversight calls.
- Drive operational effectiveness, manage team performance against goals, and generate continuous improvement ideas.
- Identify and mitigate risks; ensure satisfactory audit results and train staff on operational procedures.
- Build and develop a high‑performance team through hiring, coaching, feedback, and formal performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory requirements, service level agreements, and business recovery plans.
- Provide strong leadership and promote high‑quality standards in line with the leadership model.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in financial services, with a minimum of 5 years in a management role.
- Experience in operational management, including operational risk and risk monitoring tools.
- Strong people‑management, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in English.
- Knowledge of the fund/trust industry, financial markets, and illiquid asset classes such as real estate, private equity, and private debt.
- Analytical mindset, sense of urgency, flexibility under stress, and strong organizational awareness.
