We are seeking experienced and highly skilled professionals to lead and oversee the daily operations of our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Malacca. This role calls for a detail-oriented and analytical leader with strong communication and management skills to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will collaborate across departments, providing valuable insights, guidance, and strategic support to drive operational excellence and achieve business goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Your Role in Our Team
1. Production Management
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate daily production activities to meet delivery schedules and quality standards.
  • Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and methods for optimal productivity.
  • Monitor production performance, analyze deviations, and implement corrective actions to achieve KPIs (output, yield, downtime, efficiency).
  • Review and approve production schedules, work orders, and capacity planning.
2. Quality & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure products are manufactured according to quality requirements, customer specifications, and ISO standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma) to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with QA, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality and process issues promptly.
  • Promote and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and quality control.
3. Cost & Resource Management
  • Manage production budgets and control operating costs within approved limits.
  • Optimize resource usage to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction through process improvement and waste elimination.
4. Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors, team leaders, and operators to achieve departmental goals.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, identify training needs, and ensure succession planning within the production team.
  • Build a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
5. Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Promote a zero-accident culture and ensure all personnel follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox meetings, and risk assessments.
6. Coordination & Reporting
  • Liaise with Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare and present production reports, performance summaries, and improvement plans to management.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and engineering change implementation in production.
Who We’re Looking For
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field is an advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum 10–15 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or plant leadership role.
  • Proven track record in renewable energy, solar, EV, or related high‑technology manufacturing environment preferred.
Technical Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, process optimization, and lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma, TPM).
  • Familiar with EHS regulations, ISO standards, and quality management systems.
  • Experience in automation, smart manufacturing, or digital transformation initiatives is an added advantage.
Language
  • Good command of English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
  • We are looking for Mandarin‑speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin‑speaking customers.
