Reporting to the Group Managing Director, this individual contributor role handles corporate communications and compliance coordination. We are looking for a Corporate Communication Manager to develop and implement an effective corporate communications strategy and initiatives, as well as manage internal and external communications with key stakeholders, with the overall objective of enhancing the company’s reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Communication Planning
- Drive RAYA Airway’s corporate narrative and positioning, brand identity, and corporate campaigns in close collaboration with the leadership team and key stakeholders.
- Create and execute effective internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged while promoting open dialogue and collaboration across the organization, in collaboration with relevant functions such as Human Resources and Strategic Business Transformation.
- Develop and implement the Corporate Communications Plan of Action (POA), ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and monthly themes.
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the POA to ensure desired outcomes, and identify opportunities for synergy and improvement.
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies through various corporate materials to promote and safeguard RAYA’s reputation and integrity in the marketplace, utilizing strong storytelling and writing skills.
- Provide expert communications advice and guidance to management and other functions, ensuring alignment with corporate communication objectives.
Content Development and Review
- Manage all digital corporate platforms, ensuring they remain dynamic and informative resources for both employees and external stakeholders.
- Craft and review high-impact content for press releases, speeches, annual reports, and social media posts in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Ensure content is consistent, clear, and aligned with corporate branding and strategic messaging.
Media Relations Management
- Ensure effective communication channels and strategies are in place, optimizing efforts across social media and other platforms to ensure compliance with brand standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with mainstream, online, and alternative media.
- Engage regularly with media personnel and editorial teams to strengthen brand visibility.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government, regulatory agencies, and media liaison units.
- Drive continuous engagement to maintain confidence in the company and its brands.
Crisis Communication and Reputation Management
- Develop and execute crisis communication plans to safeguard the company’s public image.
- Draft timely responses, monitor public sentiment, and work closely with relevant departments during crisis situations.
Budget and Resource Coordination
- Collaborate with internal units to plan and manage the department’s annual budget.
- Assess resource needs and present justifications to management to ensure sufficient support for planned initiatives.
