Job summary
A Malaysian private university is seeking a Part Time Lecturer in Advertising & Brand Management. This role involves teaching, developing course materials, and engaging with students to enhance their learning. Candidates should possess at least a Master's degree in a relevant field, ideally a PhD, along with teaching experience and the ability to develop innovative teaching methods. Strong industry connections and knowledge of current trends are advantageous.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in relevant field required; PhD preferred.
- Experience in higher education teaching and curriculum development.
- Ability to use digital and interactive technologies in teaching.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop teaching materials for Advertising & Brand Management.
- Conduct lectures, tutorials, and workshops.
- Provide student consultations and support.
Skills
Education
- Undertake teaching and related duties such as designing, preparing, and developing teaching materials for Advertising & Brand Management modules.
- Conduct lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practical sessions.
- Provide consultation and guidance to students to support their learning and development.
- Participate in assessment activities including invigilation, marking, and moderation.
- Establish and maintain high standards of teaching and effective learning in line with the University’s expectations and industry relevance.
- Contribute to administrative responsibilities such as attending departmental meetings, working groups, and programme-related activities within the Department, School, or Faculty as required.
- Support student engagement initiatives, industry collaborations, and events aligned with the programme’s objectives.
- Candidate must have at minimum a Master’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Branding, or other relevant fields. PhD holders are preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in higher education teaching and curriculum development or substantial industry experience in advertising, branding, or marketing with evidence of coaching, mentoring, and high-quality presentation skills.
- Ability to develop engaging teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of digital and interactive technologies to facilitate learning.
- Strong industry network and knowledge of current trends in advertising and brand management are an added advantage.
