Job description

1. Construction Management Coordination:

Coordinate construction management to ensure the controlled progress of architectural specialties (wall masonry, plastering, putty, tiling, gypsum board ceilings, vinyl flooring, epoxy flooring, painting, etc.).

2. Coordination with Departments:

Coordinate with various departments to ensure that labor, materials, machinery, technical drawings, and other resources meet the requirements for the construction schedule.

3. Quality Control and Acceptance Management:

Oversee the internal control of construction quality and manage the acceptance process.

4. Safety Management:

Ensure that all construction safety conditions are controlled.

5. Preparation and Submission of Relevant Construction Documentation:

Organize, compile, and submit all related construction documents.

Experience:

At least 1 complete project in medical facility construction or over 5 years of experience in construction management for hotels, office buildings, etc., with a strong understanding of medical building codes and related requirements.

Communication Skills:

Good cross-department communication and coordination skills, capable of efficiently resolving design and construction issues.

Language Requirements:

Fluent in English, proficiency in Chinese is preferred.

Position Overview:

As the Site Architect, you will be a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our projects in Malaysia. You will be deeply involved in the entire process, from planning to construction, leveraging your expertise in local regulations, authority submission procedures, and coordination with various consultant teams. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the seamless progression of projects from design through to completion and handover. You will act as the crucial link between international/domestic design teams, local consultants, contractors, and government authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Authority Submission & Approval:

Take full ownership of all authority submission processes for projects in Malaysia, including but not limited to submitting drawings and obtaining approvals from relevant departments such as DBKL, BOMBA, and the Town Planning Department.

Possess an in-depth understanding of Malaysian building codes, laws, regulations, and standard requirements.

Monitor submission progress, communicate effectively with various government departments, and resolve technical issues arising during the approval process.

Prepare and compile complete sets of submission documents, ensuring full compliance with local statutory requirements.

Design & Coordination:

Thoroughly comprehend project design concepts and integrate them with local regulations, constructability, and practical considerations.

Lead and coordinate the work of local consultant teams, including Structural, M&E, Civil, and Quantity Surveying (QS).

Chair interdisciplinary design coordination meetings to ensure seamless integration of information across all disciplines and resolve design conflicts.

Review drawings submitted by various consultants to ensure alignment with the design intent, local codes, and submission requirements.

Construction Support:

Conduct regular site visits to project sites, monitor the quality of architectural workshop drawings, and ensure they align with the Bill of Quantities (BQ).

Review construction methodologies and material samples submitted by contractors.

Provide support in resolving design-related issues that arise on-site during construction.

Participate in regular technical department meetings, reporting project status to the Department Manager and Chief Engineer.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:

Degree in Architecture or a related field.

Must possess LAM Part III qualification, accredited by the Board of Architects Malaysia (Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia).

Minimum of 5 years of architectural design and project management experience within Malaysia.

Comprehensive knowledge of the full building project submission process, with a proven track record of successfully leading projects from initial submission through to obtaining CCC (Certificate of Completion and Compliance).

Professional Knowledge & Skills:

Deep understanding of multidisciplinary design processes and exceptional coordination skills across disciplines (e.g., Structural, M&E).

High proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Strong technical detailing ability and substantial experience in construction drawing production.

Solid understanding of building codes, construction materials, methods, and cost control principles.

High sense of responsibility, initiative, and ability to work effectively under pressure.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.

2 QAQC Manager

Responsible for establishing, executing, and monitoring the project quality management plan and procedures to ensure all construction activities comply with contracts, design specifications, and relevant standards.

Organize and oversee quality inspections and testing of construction processes to ensure materials, workmanship, and deliverables meet specifications.

Ensure all inspection records, quality reports, certificates, and as-built documentation are complete, accurate, and properly archived.

Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

Organize regular quality awareness training to enhance team performance and promote continuous optimization and improvement in quality management.

Bachelor’s degree or above in Civil Engineering, M&E Engineering, or related disciplines.

Minimum 5 years of QA/QC management experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System, construction codes, and relevant inspection standards, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills in quality issues.

Strong coordination and communication skills across departments, capable of effectively handling quality matters with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Proficient in English with ability to prepare formal quality documents and reports; skilled in office software and project management systems.

Minimum 5 years of QA/QC management experience in construction or infrastructure projects, preferably with main contractors or EPC projects.

Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System implementation and audits; experience in project quality certification or third-party audits is preferred.

Experience in supervising and coordinating quality across civil, MEP, and architectural works, with the ability to resolve complex system quality issues.

Capable of independently preparing quality plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), quality reports, and as-built documentation, with proven experience in project quality close-out.

Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to lead QA/QC teams and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Language Requirements: Fluent in English, proficiency in Mandarin is preferred to serve Mandarin-speaking customers.
