A leading fintech company in Barcelona is seeking a Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python to develop and maintain secure APIs. You will collaborate within a multicultural team and be involved in high-performance platform scaling. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of experience in backend development and knowledge of AWS and SQL. This role offers a hybrid work model with 2 to 3 remote days per week.

- 2–5 years of experience in backend development.
- Strong expertise in Python, with Go experience highly valued.
- Solid understanding of API design and third-party integrations.

- Designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, secure APIs.
- Developing robust backend services in Python.
- Collaborating with Product and DevOps teams.

As a Backend Engineer within the Cross-Connectors squad, you’ll play a key role in developing and scaling the company’s core platform.
- 🔗 Designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, secure APIs
- 🐍 Developing robust backend services in Python (Go is a strong plus 💎)
- 🤝 Collaborating with Product and DevOps teams to turn business needs into technical solutions
- 🚀 Ensuring the platform’s scalability, performance, and security
- 🧩 Contributing to technical decisions and architectural discussions
- 2–5 years of experience in backend development
- Strong expertise in Python (Go experience highly valued)
- Solid understanding of API design and third-party integrations
- Good knowledge of SQL + ORM (SQLAlchemy)
- Experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, EC2, IAM, etc.)
- Strong engineering culture : clean code, testing, CI / CD, agile mindset
- Experience with banking APIs / open banking (PSD2)
- Knowledge of Go, AI, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, or application security
- Curiosity, autonomy, and a team-first mindset
