Job summary
An educational institution in Iskandar Puteri is seeking a qualified academic professional. The role involves developing and delivering quality teaching materials, engaging in assessments and evaluations, and providing academic support across various levels from Foundation to Master's. A Master's degree is required, with a preference for a Ph.D. and at least three years of relevant teaching experience. Charter membership in relevant professional bodies is desirable. Candidates should be adaptable and able to work with a diverse student body.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualification of a Master's Degree in a relevant field, Ph.D. preferred.
- Chartered Membership of the Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT) desirable.
- 3 years teaching experience in a University or Higher Education Institution.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Operations Management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver quality teaching material at various academic levels.
- Carry out assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of student work.
- Provide academic support to students in their learning activities.
- Engage in research, consultancy, and development work.
- Participate in committees and meetings as required.
- Maintain appropriate records and provide necessary information.
- Engage in promotion and recruitment activities.
- Provide guidance on curriculum and student learning.
- Adapt to a multi-cultural setting and manage diverse student groups.
Developing & delivering quality teaching material at foundation, Diploma, Bachelor Degree & Master levels;
Carrying out assessment, monitoring and evaluation of student work, and providing an academic and consultative support to students in their learning activities;
Providing academic input for course development and new courses;
Engaging in research, consultancy and development work as appropriate;
Participating in committees appropriate to courses and meetings convened by management;
Maintaining appropriate records and making available information as required by management;
Engaging in promotion including student recruitment as appropriate;
Provide input and guidance on the direction of student learning and curriculum;
Creative with an ability to adapt to a multi-cultural setting and to handle students of different nationalities.
A minimum qualification of a Master's Degree in a relevant field is required; a Ph.D. (Doctoral Degree) is strongly preferred;
Chartered Membership of the Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT) is highly desirable.
Excellent teaching, communication skills and team-work;
3 years teaching experience in a University or Highly Education Institution;
Demonstrable and sufficient knowledge is essential, derived from both educational background and practical industry experience, specifically within Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Operations Management.
