Job description

Our client is seeking a proactive and reliable Facility Management Technician (FMT) to support the daily operations and maintenance of data center facilities. The role involves performing inspections, monitoring infrastructure systems, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure optimal uptime and reliability of all critical equipment

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage data center facility operations within the assigned region
  • Conduct regular physical and visual inspections of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Collaborate with Facility Managers to develop procedures and risk assessments for site operations
  • Liaise with data center providers for mechanical, electrical, and HVAC maintenance services
  • Review and track maintenance schedules, MOPs (Method of Procedure), and risk assessments
  • Manage and record maintenance activities, change requests, and related documentation.
  • Provide on-site support during maintenance or change management events
  • Respond promptly to facility-related issues such as power outages, HVAC failures, fire alarms, and security incidents
  • Participate in after-hours on-call support when required
  • Prepare reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in facility management
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in data center facilities management or related fields
  • Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire protection systems
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to respond quickly during critical events
  • Experience working in a large‑scale or critical environment is an advantage
  • Knowledge of change management and incident response processes
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Agile mindset, proactive attitude, and willingness to learn
  • Certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, or FSM will be an added advantage
