Responsibilities

As a Production Planner in a manufacturing in Anod Tech Industry (M) Sdn Bhd, your primary responsibility is to ensure that production processes run smoothly and efficiently by effectively planning and scheduling production activities.

Production Planning

Develop production plans based on customer orders, sales forecasts, and inventory levels.

Coordinate with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to gather information on demand forecasts and order requirements.

Analyze production capacity, lead times, and resource availability to create feasible production schedules.

Scheduling and Coordination

Create daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to optimize resource utilization and meet production targets.

Coordinate with production supervisors, operations managers, and other relevant personnel to ensure smooth execution of production plans.

Communicate production schedules and priorities to production teams and other stakeholders.

Inventory Management

Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.

Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials needed for production.

Implement inventory control measures to minimize wastage and optimize inventory turnover.

Capacity Planning

Assess production capacity and identify constraints or bottlenecks in the production process.

Optimize resource allocation and production scheduling to maximize throughput and minimize idle time.

Anticipate capacity constraints and develop contingency plans to mitigate production disruptions.

Production Efficiency and Optimization

Identify opportunities for process improvements and production optimization to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production yield, cycle time, and machine utilization to track performance and drive improvements.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and production performance.

Prepare production reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to monitor progress and communicate key insights to management.

Generate ad-hoc reports and analysis as required by management or stakeholders.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, procurement, logistics, and quality assurance to align production plans with business objectives.

Participate in production meetings, project teams, and other collaborative forums to address production-related issues and drive improvements.

Qualifications

Education: BA relevant diploma or certification may be accepted depending on the level of experience.

Experience: Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, or related roles within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

Experience with production planning software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is often required.

Demonstrated ability to manage production schedules, optimize resource utilization, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Fresh Grade are required to apply.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Malay, with the ability to communicate effectively with production teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in managing production schedules, inventory levels, and documentation.

Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production supervisors, procurement specialists, logistics coordinators, and quality assurance personnel. Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships and facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments.
