Job summary
A leading food processing company in Penang is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to install, repair, and maintain machinery. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in mechanical or a related field and proficiency in using hand tools. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include training production workers and maintaining inventory of parts. The role requires problem-solving skills and the flexibility to work overtime.
Qualifications
- Diploma in mechanical, or a related field preferred.
- Fresh Graduates are welcome.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as welding, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work on-call or overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
- Dismantle machinery and remove/replace defective parts.
- Maintain inventories of equipment parts and supplies.
- Train production workers on routine preventive maintenance.

Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications:
Diploma in mechanical, or a related field preferred.
Fresh Graduate are welcome.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as welding, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Flexibility to work on-call or overtime as needed.
