Job description

Manufacturing Engineer - Automation - Mechanical / Electrical

Work with process team and vendors to review the design of automation machine or fixtures; qualify and acceptance the new machine; set-up maintenance plan and implementation; improve the mass production machine and fixture to enhance the productivity.

Conduct new equipment introduction and set the equipment Maintenance plan and machine operation instruction, support Process ME ( Cable and Cable Assembly) team for the NPI and process improvement with the objective of meeting production requirements and ensure the machine stability and EHS on production within Engineering policies, procedures and systems.

Evaluate new tool, fixture and equipment demand/cost for new projects;

Design and review the tool, fixture and equipment with core team members meeting engineering and EHS requirement.

Upload all tooling prints to data management system (PDM, Link, etc.)

Discuss and review details of tool/fixture/equipment with outside supplier.

Follow up the purchasing process to fabricate new tool/fixture/equipment.

Provide technical support to manufacturing team during pilot run and production start-up/change over.

Provide support on Problem identification and trouble-shooting with solution for a wide range of complex mechanical problems

Line maintenance/change over together with/guiding the technicians to make sure automation machine run smoothly.
