Purpose of this Position:
The CES Assistant Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and supervision of activities related to cryogenic gas farm and distribution systems. This includes executing planned and corrective maintenance, supporting project execution, and preparing reports to ensure the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with standards.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Planned Maintenance
Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on cryogenic tanks, vaporizers, pumps, and related instrumentation.
Conduct inspections and functional tests on safety valves, pressure regulators, level gauges, and telemetry systems.
Maintain detailed records of PM activities and highlight issues requiring follow-up.
2. Corrective Maintenance
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults within the gas farm.
Perform emergency repairs or replacements to ensure operational continuity.
Liaise with vendors or contractors for complex or specialized repairs.
Investigate root causes and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Liaise directly with customers during fault investigations, updates, and resolution processes.
3. Project Supervision
Support installation, commissioning, or system upgrades within the facility.
Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with safety and technical standards.
Assist with testing, integration, and handover procedures for new systems.
Coordinate with vendors or contractors to minimize disruption during project execution.
Coordinate with customers regarding project scope, scheduling, and progress updates.
4. Report Preparation
Prepare maintenance and inspection reports for internal review and regulatory compliance.
Document equipment performance trends, incident reports, and corrective actions taken.
Update equipment logs, PM schedules, and calibration records.
Contribute to monthly operation and maintenance summaries.
Job Requirements:
1. Education
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
2. Working experience
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in cryogenic gas facilities or industrial plant maintenance or project management in similar environment.
3. Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of cryogenic processes, safety systems, and control instrumentation is an advantage.
Ability to interpret P&IDs, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.
Proficient in basic computer tools (Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel) for reporting purposes.
Strong safety awareness and communication skills.
Possesses AutoCAD skill will be an added advantage.
