Job summary
A technology firm in Penang seeks an engineer to implement projects, procure materials, and conduct software development. The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering or computer science, with at least three years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include providing technical support, documenting projects, and performing research and development. Familiarity with Visual Basic, C/C++, and PLC systems is advantageous. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on automation and innovation.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or related fields.
- Experience in contract manufacturing is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Implement and execute assigned projects.
- Procure materials and provide technical support.
- Document projects and prepare product documentation.
- Conduct software development and electronic installation.
Skills
Education
Implement and execute projects assigned by the Senior Engineer, Staff Engineer, or Manager.
Procure materials needed for projects.
Provide training and technical support when required.
Documentation of the project or equipment operation and specifications.
Prepare and update product documentation.
Perform automation software development / electrical and electronics installation / required tests/debugging, and/or assembly.
Perform research and development in any related fields, and practice the new technology after sufficient study and assessment.
Carry out standard product development when necessary.
Mentor and assist subordinates, peers, and customers when required.
Familiar with Visual Basic, C/C++, MFC, MS Windows environment, Multitasking, Network programming & Robot integration will be added advantage.
Familiar with or knows electronics/electrical circuit designing and robotics systems.
PLC-based advantage is support such as Machine Sequence, Machine Speed Performance, and Machine Stability.
Knowledge of the ISO9001 quality system for design control will be an added advantage
Knowledge in OMRON PLC Ethercat, MS Windows environment, Multitasking, Network programming & Robot integration will be added advantage
Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Software/Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
At least 3 years (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably, contract manufacturing/ industrial automation experiences.
