We are seeking an experienced Commercial & Contract Manager to join our team based in Semenyih, Selangor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects of our construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Works closely with project managers and quantity surveyors on project budgets and claims.
- Manages contract-related disputes, claims, and settlement negotiations.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and legal agreements.
- Overseeing the administration of contracts, including monitoring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Providing strategic advice to project stakeholders on commercial and contractual matters.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve commercial disputes and issues.
- Ensuring all projects adhere to relevant laws, regulations and industry standards.
- Implementing and maintaining robust contract management systems and processes.
- Mentoring and developing more junior members of the contracts team.
- Degree in Quantity Surveyor, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in a commercial/contracts management role within the construction industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex commercial contracts and negotiations.
- Strong understanding of construction industry regulations, standards and best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using MS Office suite.
