Job description

The Site QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all construction activities, materials, and workmanship comply with the project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This role represents the Client's interests in maintaining the highest quality standards throughout the construction phase of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
• Communicate quality issues promptly to project management.
• Implement quality measures aligned with QLASSIC criteria.
• To monitor, record, and follow up on timely closure of Site Memo or NCR issued or received.
• To assist in the preparation of PQP, Method Statement, Inspection and Test Plan, etc.
• To participate in joint inspections with the Project Team, Consultants, and Clients.
• To assist the QA/QC Manager/Assistant Manager to prepare Audit Report if required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering disciplines.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in QAQC roles within construction projects.
• Experience working with main contractors and multiple subcontractors' coordination.
• Familiarity with Malaysian construction industry practices and standards.
• Candidates with QLASSIC Assessor Certification will have an added advantage.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team.
