A logistics company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced logistics manager to oversee daily operations, manage inventory systems, and develop strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety regulations and optimizing logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. A bachelor's degree or diploma in logistics or supply chain is required.
Oversee and manage daily logistic operations including receiving, warehousing, and shipping.
Ensure the smooth and timely flow of goods in and out of the warehouse.
Implement and maintain inventory management systems, including cycle counting and regular stock checks.
Supervise and train logistic staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, carriers, and customers.
Analyze data and prepare reports on logistics performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain safe working environment.
Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies and initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
Maximize cost savings and minimize product shortages and wrong shipments.
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
Arrange warehouse, goods, plan routes and process shipments.
Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
Establish goals and objectives for self and team and implement.
Comply with ISO, HACCP, HALAL and good manufacturing best practice and performance standards.
Maintaining appropriate records in accordance with company procedures.
To undertake all work (existing and/or new) and ad hoc job assignments instructed by the Management.
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Logistic, Supply Chain or equivalent.
At least 5Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer knowledge.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on findings.
